Ways to Make a Difference
Every dollar given, every hour volunteered — brightens Milwaukee’s future.
Many children in Milwaukee’s central city are at risk of falling behind in their education before they’ve even begun. Most don’t have access to books, and many face additional health and emotional challenges and a general lack of resources. Your generosity helps ensure that Milwaukee’s children and families have the tools they need for success.
A tribute gift is a meaningful way to mark a special occasion, honor an achievement or celebrate a birthday or anniversary. When you direct a gift in honor of someone special, a card will be sent to your honoree and you will receive a receipt letter for tax purposes. An e-card is also an option.
Express sympathy or show you haven’t forgotten someone special through a memorial gift. When you direct a gift in memory of someone special, a card will be sent to a person you select and you will receive a receipt letter for tax purposes. An e-card is also an option.
Hold an Event
Gather your family, friends and neighbors at an event dedicated to a person or occasion that you select while you raise money for Next Door. Our event team will work with you to offer assistance as you plan and hold your fundraiser or project. A walk/run, bowling tournament, car wash, fashion show — you choose the event.
Leave a Legacy
Remembering Next Door in your will is a simple way to create a lasting legacy. Your gift of any size will make a difference.
We gratefully accept planned gifts of all kinds, including:
- Charitable remainder trust
- Charitable lead trust
- Gift annuities
- Life insurance
- Real estate
A gift made through your will creates a legacy of caring, ensuring that future generations of Milwaukee children will benefit from the positive experiences at Next Door. Simply incorporate the language below in your will. It’s that easy.
“I, ___________________________, bequeath $_______________, or _____________% of my estate, to Next Door, a not-for-profit charitable organization, for its unrestricted use, or ______________(other purpose you specify).”
