Join our team – and do the most important work in Milwaukee!
At Next Door, we work hard to ensure Milwaukee children from under-resourced families get a strong start to life during the most critical period of brain development, ages birth to five.
You can help a child achieve that start in the classroom, in a home visitation setting, through family advocacy or in a wide variety of support roles.
We also work hard to ensure our employees have the personal and professional resources they need to succeed, and involve them in shaping the future of Next Door.
Next Door offers:
- Competitive Salaries, with a Minimum Wage of $15/hour
- Health, Dental and Vision Insurance
- Accident and Cancer Insurance
- Employer Paid Disability Insurance
- Paid Holidays and Paid Time Off (PTO)
- Paid Training Days and On-Staff Coaches
- Student Loan Debt Repayment
- 401K with an Employer Match
- An employee Success Coach
For those who are interested in learning more about how Next Door can help you earn early childhood education credentials, including an Associate’s Degree, click here to visit our Pathways Program page.
All employees must complete a background check, physical, TB test and drug screen before employment begins. A negative marijuana drug test is NOT a requirement for employment.
The Office of Head Start requires all Next Door employees to be fully vaccinated. As this is being mandated by the federal government, which funds our programs, Next Door does not have flexibility in the policy. If you are offered a position at Next Door, you will be required to show proof of vaccination before your start date.
