Next Door makes front page of Milwaukee Times!

Next Door joined more than 1,000 early learning organizations across the country on Thursday, May 18th to celebrate the 52nd birthday of Head Start. The Milwaukee Times was there to capture the fun!

As part of the observance, Next Door held a Community Reading Day event at our 29th Street and Capitol Drive locations. We invited special guests for some one-on-one story time with our students. The guest list included: State Senator LaTonya Johnson, Milwaukee City Alderman Cavalier Johnson, Danae Davis, Executive Director of Milwaukee Succeeds, and members of Next Door’s Board of Directors. The goal of the program was to raise awareness of the incredible impact of Head Start programming during a child’s critical, early years of development.

The Milwaukee Times featured two front page photos of our celebration in its May 25th edition. Click on the link here to check them out.
