BizTimes honors Next Door for Child Care Partnership program
Next Door is proud to report that the agency won the Nonprofit Collaboration of the Year award at this year’s Nonprofit Excellence Awards presented by the BizTimes. The program took place November 2nd, 2017 at the Italian Community Center in Milwaukee.
Next Door was one of three finalists selected for this award category. The recognition is tied to Next Door’s Child Care Partnership program with ten early childhood education organizations in Milwaukee. Through a federal grant, Next Door leads this program with a team of Instructional Coaches who work closely with teachers at the partnership sites. The goal is to help them deliver the same high quality early childhood education offered at Next Door, and ultimately increase family access to high quality early learning experiences in Milwaukee.
The partnership program spans 70 classrooms across the following organizations: COA Youth & Family Centers, KinderCare-West Allis, Jo’s Learning Academy, La Causa, Malaika Early Learning Center, Neighborhood House of Milwaukee, St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care, St. Joseph Academy, Stepping Stones Children’s Center, and the YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee.
