TMJ4 features building renovations at Next Door
As part of its Rebound Milwaukee series, TMJ4 visited Next Door to cover major building renovations at our 29th Street campus.
The renovated spaces include our Books for Kids library, two indoor play areas, and a Parent Engagement Center. These improvements were part of Next Door’s 50th Anniversary fundraising campaign in 2019. Generous community donors contributed $1.2 million toward this effort.
The story features interviews with Next Door’s President Dr. Tracey Sparrow and Next Door Early Head Start Teacher ShaLaya Morehouse. They both discuss how these renovations will greatly impact student learning and physical development, plus enhanced support for our parents.
