CBS 58 features Next Door’s building renovations
Next Door welcomed CBS 58 reporter Michael Scheslinger to cover major renovations at our 29th Street campus. The story aired May 23, 2021 on the CBS 58 Sunday Morning show.
The renovated spaces include our Books for Kids library, two indoor play areas, and a Parent Engagement Center. These improvements were part of Next Door’s 50th Anniversary fundraising campaign in 2019. Generous community donors contributed $1.2 million toward this effort.
The story features interviews with Next Door’s President Dr. Tracey Sparrow and K5 Teacher Carmen Parker. The two address how these these significant transformations will support and inspire students with enhanced learning and development opportunities.
